LiveLike and Yondr to examine VR potential in Sports Venue Technology Summit session

SVTS 2017 slider 480pxPieter Van Leugenhagen, Business Strategist at Yondr, and Samuel Westberg, Director of Sales EMEA at LiveLike, will be among those joining SVG Europe for a discussion about the potential of VR in sports venues and broadcasting at the Sports Venue Technology Summit 2017, taking place during ISE on the morning of February 9.

Based in Belgium, Yondr is a full service immersive media agency that produces high-end 360° video content for a virtual reality experience. Headquartered in San Francisco, LiveLike developed what is claimed to be the world’s first VR platform that allows the user to watch live sports with friends.

The buzz around virtual reality – and in particular its potential for transforming the sports viewing experience – has been one of the broadcast industry stories of the past 12 months. But trial deployments at sports venues that allow fans to experience events in a new and exciting way are also taking place. This session will examine a number of current projects and consider the various practical and monetary issues surrounding VR that are still to be resolved.

More panellists for this session will be confirmed shortly.

Attendance at the Sports Venue Technology Summit is open to all ISE delegates. For a full programme, and to register, please visit https://www.svgeurope.org/sport-venue-technology-summit-2017/conference-program/.
