LiveModeTV brings FIFA World Cup 2026 draw to life from wTVision’s virtual studio facilities in Lisbon

LiveModeTV’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw went live on 5 December from wTVision’s chroma studio in Lisbon, delivering a YouTube-native show that combined a fully virtual set, multiple live feeds and some of Portugal’s most recognisable football voices on screen.
Streaming on the @LiveModeTV_PT YouTube channel, the programme was structured in three elements: pre-show, the live draw and post-show reaction. On air, YouTuber and streamer Movemind (Diogo da Silva) led the show, joined by former international star Ricardo Quaresma and futsal legend Ricardinho, with expert commentary from Tomás da Cunha and Mário Cagica. Together, they broke down every group, reacted in real time to Portugal’s path and translated the draw into clear stories for a digital-first audience.
The entire production was staged from wTVision’s facilities in Lisbon using wVSet, a chroma studio wrapped in a virtual scenography fully designed and operated by wTVision. While the on-air graphic package was authored by LiveMode, wTVision engineered the live backbone, integrating the client’s Flowics graphics platform into wTVision’s workflow, while Studio CG orchestrated the playout of video clips and editorial elements throughout the show. The result was a studio environment where presenters could move naturally between analysis, clips and live reaction, with the virtual set responding in real time.
Behind the scenes, the show demanded tight coordination of multiple external sources. wTVision’s engineering team led the full technical preparation, managing the reception and integration of one satellite feed and one SRT feed from the Official Draw coverage, plus an additional feed from FIFA’s red carpet. All signals were monitored, synchronised and routed into the virtual workflow, ensuring that every cut between studio, draw and red carpet felt seamless to viewers.
For LiveMode, the draw production marks one of the first flagship moments for LiveModeTV in Portugal, the company’s new digital sports channel and its first proprietary project outside Brazil. Built on the successful CazéTV model, LiveModeTV will stream all of Portugal’s matches at the FIFA World Cup 2026 plus one ‘top match’ every day of the tournament (34 games in total) free on YouTube, with local talent leading the coverage and a format aimed squarely at younger, hyper-connected fans.
“LiveModeTV is rewriting how major events reach fans in Portugal, and we wanted our studios to match that ambition from day one,” said Paulo Ferreira, CCO and board member at wTVision. “This Draw Show brought together a creator-led format, some of the most charismatic names in Portuguese football and a fully virtual set, all designed for YouTube. What people see on screen is light and conversational; what sits underneath is a workflow engineered for precision, resilience and control.”
The partnership between wTVision and LiveMode around the draw also signals a broader shift in how premium football content is produced and distributed in Portugal. LiveModeTV adds a free, exclusively online layer that brings key matches to a new audience on YouTube. In that context, wTVision’s virtual production capabilities help bridge the gap between creator-first formats and broadcast-grade operations.
“For us, this project is a clear illustration of how we aim to inspire the media with full control in practice,” added Ferreira. “You have a digital-native sports brand, a free World Cup window on YouTube and a generation of fans who expect interactivity and authenticity. Our role is to provide the studio, graphics operation and technical infrastructure that allow LiveModeTV to focus on the conversation, knowing that every feed, every clip and every virtual camera move is under control.”
