LiveU technology used to stream coverage of La Liga 2

Global Audiovisual, the Spanish production company, is using LiveU wireless streaming technology to aid coverage of second and third division football matches in Spain.

Overseen by LiveU’s Spanish partner Park 7, and supported by a network of freelancers and smaller production companies, approximately 80 matches are being streamed to viewers across Spain each week from both La Liga 2 and Segunda Division B.

The games are made available via Footters.com.

The LiveU Solo is central to the project, offering wireless live streaming directly from a camera at the matches.

Isidro Paredes, director of global audiovisual and head of production at Footters.com, said, “The functionality, ease of use and image quality have allowed us to undertake this successful project, which is one that’s only likely to continue growing.”

La Liga recently announced a deal to live coverage of matches from LaLiga 2 for free on YouTube.

In Spain, La Liga 2 matches are also shown on beIN Connect, Orange, Telecable, Telefónica and Sky.
