LiveU unveils uplink product line

LiveU manufactures broadcast-quality, video-over-cellular products that allow live video transmission (HD and SD) from any location.  LiveU will be unveiling its new line of HD/SD uplink products at IBC 2011.

LiveU products, deployed by Tier-1 broadcasters and news agencies in over 60 countries, have been used to cover high-profile events, such as the 2011 British Royal Wedding, Academy Awards, GRAMMY Awards, NBA Finals, Super Bowl, G20 Summit, World Cup in South Africa, 2008 Beijing Olympics, and President Obama’s inaugural train ride from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C.

LiveU’s portable products transmit video over multiple 4G LTE/3G, HSPA+, WiMAX, and Wi-Fi cellular links simultaneously, which are optimized for maximum video quality based on the available network conditions.

The company will also present its new 3D live broadcast technology and further enhancements to its flagship LU60 broadcast-quality system, providing even higher video performance.

The LU60 is a bonded 3G/4G LTE backpack with proprietary RF technology for resiliency, up to 1080 HD video, sub-second latency for a satellite-like experience, and automatic international roaming capabilities. These enhancements further empower broadcasters and news agencies to expand their use of live video using the inherent mobility, speed of deployment and cost-effectiveness provided by LiveU’s cellular uplinking technology.
