The cloud-based media solutions firm M2A Media, like every company in the broadcast business right now, is carefully picking its way through the COVID-19 crisis, putting plans in place to keep staff safe and ensuring business continuity both internally and for customers.

Its key message to customers and partners is that the technology and services it provides are more than ready for remote working.

Talking to SVG Europe, chief executive Marina Kalkanis said:

“The M2A Media fully cloud-based service, restful APIs and standard web GUI allow us to drive our Live Streaming and Live Capture system and operations remotely from our MCR. Our teams are based around the world, working remotely to ensure our services sustain at the very highest level.”

For sports broadcasters and other sports media organisations, there are some specific benefits to working with M2A Media, she added:

“Our virtual channel feature allows sports media organisations to create live channels from archive content using BXF playlists. We also provide a cost-efficient live event service that allows media publishers to stream live events from camera to customer with minimum overhead and custom integration.”

M2A Media customers include BBC, ITV and DAZN.
