Major Events International summit to address venue operations and fan-engagement technology
SVG Europe members and sponsors can benefit from a preferential rate to attend the first-ever Major Events Summit, taking place in London on 26/27 October. The event is being organised by MEI and will feature contributions from influential figures including Sir Brian Burridge, VP strategic marketing for Finmeccanica – Selex ES, and Fabrice Doreau, head of strategy at Olympic Games worldwide IT partner ATOS.
In particular, day two will explore all aspects of venue technology and how to drive fan engagement at live sporting events. In what constitutes an area of growing interest for vendors and broadcasters, high levels of fan engagement have been witnessed during the 2o15 Rugby World Cup, in part thanks to the use of new technology – thereby underlining its value to brands, suppliers and organisers within the sports industry.
Attendees on day two will include AFL Europe, Sports & Recreation Alliance, England Netball and London Legacy Development Corporation (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park), along with commercial operations.
The style of the event is interactive and will feature a strong emphasis on networking, with attendees encouraged to participate and join the discussion.
