Mediapro Colombia to produce and broadcast 2021 BMX World Cup for the Olympic Channel

Mediapro Colombia in association with Medialuso, a Mediapro Group company, is set to produce and broadcast the BMX World Cup Bogotá 2021 – a cycling discipline practised with motocross bikes – for the Olympic Channel. The competition will be held on 29-30 May at the El Salitre Park track in the Colombian capital.

A team of more than 20 professionals will be in charge of the production and broadcast of the event, which is the final chance for competitors to scores points to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. The competition, which provides the decisive score for the world ranking, will be attended by the main international exponents of BMX, including French athletes Joris Daudet and Manon Valentino, Felicia Stancil from the US and Colombian Olympic medalists Mariana Pajón and Carlos Ramírez.

The technical deployment to cover the transmission during the two days of the competition includes nine broadcast cameras (mini cameras, cameras with telephoto lens and photo finish camera).

The competition will be held under strict biosafety protocols, established by the Government of Colombia via the Colombian Ministry of Health.
