Milano International Federation of Sports TV Festival set for December

The European sport content creation community, extending from film to TV to the Internet, will get together in Milan from the 5-9 December for the 30th annual Milano International Federation of Sports Television Festival. The event in Milan includes 150 film screenings in seven theaters as well as eight conferences, two workshops, and four exhibitions. This year’s theme is “TV Sport Emotions” and more than 190 sport broadcasters have registered to discuss developments in sport TV, the Internet, mobile devices, and more.

The festival is highlighted by the 14th annual World Championship of Sports Television and Cinema Festival which is a competition across five continents. Known as  the Circuito Internazionale “World FICTS Challenge,” stops include Spain, Beijing, Hanoi, Rio de Janeiro, Guayaquil (Ecuador), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Matera (Italy), Yakutsk (Rep. Sakha), Kampala (Uganda), Tjanjin (China), Lipetsk (Russia), Liberec (Tzec. Rep.), Los Angeles, and Milan.

The event is led by Professor Franco Ascani, member of the Commissione Cultura ed Educazione Olimpca, and CEO of the Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, and its 110 members.
