MRMC renews Gold SVG Europe sponsorship
MRMC, a Nikon company, has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe. The company manufactures and supplies solutions for motion control, automation, broadcast robotics, volumetric and remote image capture.
Recent projects include working with Nine and AE Live to create a hybrid production model for the Australian broadcaster’s Paris Olympics coverage. An MRMC StudioBot XL robotic arm was selected to drive the primary camera within the compact space at the Tracodero Broadcast Centre. This enabled directors based in Sydney to manage camera angles, zooms and panning with exact precision and consistency, using pre-programmed camera movements for automated, repeated shots. Within the space, the StudioBot XL was used to capture sweeping shots of the talent and to create dynamic movement within the virtual and augmented reality set.
MRMC has also recently unveiled the Super Milo motion control rig. Building on the Milo legacy, the Super Milo is said to enhance speed, acceleration and reach while offering quick assembly.
“As a leader in camera robotics and automation, the sports sector remains an important area of growth for MRMC. While we continue to develop new solutions that will open up new lines of business, the SVG Europe membership provides us with a platform to stay up to date with the latest trends and keep in close contact with our partners and customers within the sports community,” said Marius Merten, sports broadcast manager, MRMC.
