Multiple A&H mixers for Olympic Media Centre

Moscow-based AV company Proton Center specified six Allen & Heath rackmount Qu-16 digital mixers to be installed in the Main Media Centre at Sochi’s Olympic Park during the recent Olympic Games in Russia.

The Main Media Centre catered for more than 2,000 members of the international media accredited to cover the Competition, and more than 6,000 television and radio broadcasters from around the world.

Proton Center designed the AV system and supervised installation works, whilst its partner company, Sochi-based Tomlux+, completed the sound and video installation on site. The Qu-16s were supplied by Allen & Heath’s Russian distributor, MixArt.

“Visiting from over 70 countries, press were arriving with many different types of AV equipment, and Qu-16 worked seamlessly with all of it,” comments Alexander Soloviev from Proton Center.

Other sound equipment used in this project included 30 Audio-Technica 3000 Series Wireless Systems and Denon Professional CD/media players.
