Multipurpose Hospital Club begins studio overhaul with Fineline Media Finance

Fineline Media Finance has facilitated the first phase of a major studio overhaul for the Hospital Club, providing around £250K of finance for a Sony MVS 7000 vision mixer, Miranda switchers, HD monitoring and ancillary equipment.

Housed over seven floors of a building in Central London, the Hospital Club offers various facilities including a TV studio, a gallery, a screening room, private dining and meeting rooms, a restaurant and bars. The TV studio is suitable for live and pre-recorded productions, and has been used for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize Sessions, Watchdog (BBC), The Agenda (ITV) and various MTV shows.

As Sony’s preferred financial services supplier, Fineline was able to offer the Hospital Club a 0% finance deal on the Sony vision mixer that was supplied by DB Broadcast. The Hospital Club chose to replace its existing vision mixer with the Sony desk due to the manufacturer’s good reputation for producing high quality broadcast equipment at the forefront of technology, as well as the familiarity of the desk to its roster of vision mixers and engineers. The 0% deal offered by Fineline also made it an attractive and cost-effective purchase.

Sam Dunlop, head of studios at the Hospital Club, said: “This is the first phase in a multi-stage plan to update of all the major systems in the Hospital Club Studio. Fineline was recommended to us by DB Broadcast as a reliable company that understood the broadcast sector and could offer reasonable finance deals, and we are very happy with the way the transaction was facilitated.”

Gareth Wilding, sales and marketing director, Fineline Media Finance, added: “It’s a pleasure to work with the Hospital Club as they renew and refurbish their facility, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship in the coming months and years.”
