NAB 2013: L-S-B Broadcast Technologies showing Virtual Studio Manager (VSM)

As part of a showcase for its Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) product, Wiesbaden, Germany-based L-S-B Broadcast Technologies will draw attention to its ‘Boxing’ functionality. A number of user interface possibilities will also be on show, including both touchscreen and hardware panels, along with additional features such as EVS integration.

Maximising the flexibility of available studios, control rooms and production areas in a facility is key to maximising the investment made in both real estate space and technical hardware. According to L-S-B, ‘Boxing’ provides the logical framework to dynamically save and store multiple device set-ups and then transfer the complete settings to another production area or studio with a single button push. Consequently, any available studio now becomes a back-up for a production even if equipment is different. In addition, an available studio can be used to prepare a production which can then be recalled to any other in the studio cluster with the single push of a button.

Other highlighted features will include the ability to control and process the complete video, audio and intercom workflow via tablets. Supporting flexibility of deployment, standard touchscreens or tablets can be integrated into production and studio environments.
