NEP acquires UK-based Bow Tie TV Limited

NEP today acquired UK-based Bow Tie TV Limited, a deal which Steve Jenkins, NEP UK managing director, says is a natural expansion of the company’s UK business. “It creates an exciting blend of specialist broadcast-media services with the scale, resourcing, and management of NEP,” he says. “Bow Tie has an excellent pedigree in a unique sector of our market.”

Bow Tie specialises in media archive, Web streaming, managed contracts, video on demand, software development, and broadcast info channels. Those services enable NEP to offer clients a wider variety of ways to ingest, manage, and distribute content. The addition of Bow Tie is complementary to the existing exceptional brands of NEP, including Supershooters, Sweetwater, NEP Visions, and Roll to Record.

Previous shareholder Duncan Smith is appointed managing director of Bow Tie and will join the senior UK team. “It’s great news for all the staff and clients of Bow Tie,” says Smith. “It’s fantastic to be part of a group who will support us as we grow the division.”

All Bow Tie staff will remain and continue to support and service customers.
