New content portal opens for European Ice Hockey league

Champions Hockey League (CHL) has selected the Imagen platform to manage and distribute its vast library of video and image assets.

The CHL media portal provides rapid online access to broadcast partners, league members and sponsors who will be able to search an exclusive library of CHL media and download HD quality assets in a few clicks.

The fully branded site was commissioned and delivered in under 90 days to meet the start of the 2018 season and contains over a thousand hours of archive content dating back to the 2014/15 season plus over 4000 images.

Video from the current season is shot listed so users can enjoy pinpoint accurate searching within long form games. CHL’s content portal automatically imports event logs for each game via Imagen’s API and synchronises with video so that entire games are easy to search and navigate using time based metadata.

Users can play video, create clips, make collections and even download content for use offline – a useful feature for players and coaches who can use the platform as a training resource.
