New sponsor Masstech expands reach with SVG Europe
Masstech, a developer of intelligent storage management systems that provide security, efficiency and rapid access to valuable assets for sports video creators, broadcasters and editors, has become an OB/SI SVG Europe sponsor, adding to its long-running association with SVG in the US.
Masstech chief executive George Kilpatrick, stated: “Masstech is extremely excited to be expanding our long term membership of the Sports Video Group into SVG Europe. We’re thrilled that becoming sponsors of SVG Europe will enable us to further share our stories and ideas with so many great European sports organisations.
“It’s well known that SVG Europe is highly respected and well-supported by vendors and end-users alike,” continued Kilpatrick. “Developing and refining cutting edge solutions requires a confluence of thoughts and ideas between solutions creators such as Masstech, and those at the cutting edge who help us define how those solutions will bring the greatest efficiency to their operations. SVG Europe provides this ideal meeting place for vendors and end-users to share and develop these ideas, and to revolutionise the way we create, manage and deliver sports video.”
Masstech solutions enable its sports customers to harness the latest storage technologies to manage their video assets. Kilpatrick added: “Today we continue to do so, utilising object storage technologies in cloud and hybrid environments for the most streamlined, cost-efficient asset storage and lifecycle management; we call it controlled ascent, and we’re extremely proud that so many of the best-known sports organisations around the world have already partnered with us.
“Our solutions present multi-tiered storage environments comprising public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud and on-premise tiers as a homogenised storage layer, across which content is efficiently moved, shared and stored, automatically, and seamlessly to operators and control environments. While other storage systems rely on dedicated hardware, or restrict users to their own solutions, Masstech’s agnostic approach allows our customers to choose the storage and production systems that ideally suit their specific operational and business goals,” Kilpatrick concluded.
