Next Generation Audio Summit 2018: More speakers announced
There are a limited number of spaces available to attend this year’s exploration of Next Generation Audio (NGA) technologies, taking place at Dolby in London on 31 October. The theme of the 2018 summit is the transition that NGA is currently taking place ‘from theory to reality’.
With a focus on the application of immersive audio to a wide range of sports – including football, tennis and boxing – the invitation-only event will feature high-profile case studies, an update on current standards initiatives, and plenty of networking opportunities.
The summit will take place at the Soho Square facilities of Dolby on 31 October, and will include a selection of recent sports and entertainment highlights produced in Dolby Atmos.
The latest speakers to be added to the programme include Audinate director of application engineering (EMEA) Kieran Walsh, who will discuss ‘Updating AES67 and Other Next Steps for Audio-over-IP’; and Genelec senior technologist Thomas Lund and Mercer Sound Services sound guarantee & sound supervisor Pete Mercer, who participate in a session entitled ‘Immersive for Sports: Best Practices and Future Possibilities’.
Although primarily an invite-only event there is a limited number of spaces available to those complying with the registration criteria. For more information please email SVG Europe Contributing Editor David Davies ([email protected]).
