Ismael Marcer has been appointed general manager of NVP Spain, the facilities firm’s new subsidiary in Madrid.
Marcer has over 20 years of experience in broadcast operations and technology — including leadership roles at Mediapro and Unitecnic.
NVP said Marcer brings “deep industry expertise, strategic vision, and a strong track record in leading high-performing teams and delivering complex technical projects across both Europe and the United States” and that Marcer has secured and managed long-term partnerships with major international clients and has played a key role in managing multiple businesses, consistently driving technology innovation aligned with business goals.
His appointment marks a key step in NVP’s international expansion, with NVP “confident he’ll play a vital role in advancing our growth strategy and delivering cutting-edge broadcast solutions across new markets”.
Last month it was announced that Host Broadcast Services (HBS) and NVP had been selected by LaLiga to deliver media production and distribution for Spain’s Primera and Segunda Division matches for five years from the start of the 2025-26 season, with the two entities of HBS and NVP to form a joint venture based in Spain to run operations for the league.
