OASYS expands with new staff appointments

Automated playout solution developer OASYS has added two new staff members to its expanding team. Dominic Yip, formerly of Harris Broadcast, will join OASYS as head of technical services for the Asia Pacific to support customers and strategic partners in the region.

During the last year, Dominic successfully implemented Asia’s first Harris Selenio headend solutions for Myanmar Radio & Television and Skynet Myanmar. In the past, Dominic worked as a reseller of products including Ross Video, XenData, Media Alliance MAM, Orad Virtual On-Air Graphics, Apple, AJA and has completed various large scale system integration work for Mediacorp, Starhub, Astro Malaysia and Radio & Television Brunei.

“I am excited to join OASYS and am looking forward to establishing a support team to provide professional and timely services to customers in the region,” he says.

Another new appointment is Sophie Wilson to marketing manager. Based in London, she is responsible for heading up OASYS’ marketing efforts both in the UK and internationally.

With seven years in the broadcast media industry, Sophie was the driving force behind WRN Broadcast’s strategic move to a fully integrated TV services and playout centre. She developed and launched a groundbreaking software platform for the management of online video advertising with publishers such as 4oD and ITV player at IMD. Previously on the IAB Video Council, Sophie was voted a Broadcast Magazine Hot Shot in the business category in 2009.

“I leapt at the opportunity to be part of this growing, dynamic company at a time when it is expanding its global horizons,” she says. “I look forward to taking the OASYS message to multiple global markets and educating clients about our safe, secure and supported automated playout solutions.”
