Ochestrate platform from Limelight Networks highlights IBC stand

Limelight Networks’s Orchestrate (“Orchestrate”) platform helps companies ensure the delivery of digital content to online viewers in broadcast quality and will be front and centre at the company’s IBC stand.

The company says that with the enormous growth in the use of smart phones and tablets, companies delivering digital content can face an uphill battle when trying to ensure that users receive the content they want in broadcast quality – wherever they happen to be and on whatever device they are using. A lack of integrated components can create time-consuming and inefficient workflows for digital publishers, which in turn, leads to slow or shoddy audience experiences that can affect a broadcaster’s image and profitability. Until now, the customized workflows required to ensure excellent digital customer experiences have been both costly and disruptive to implement.

Limelight combines a suite of integrated software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications with a powerful content storage and delivery network that the company says ranks among the largest and most highly available in the world. Broadcasters using the Orchestrate platform can take advantage of single upload and automatic transcoding optimized for global delivery on any device.

“As one of the world’s top events for digital broadcasting and entertainment, IBC2014 in Amsterdam provides an excellent vehicle to showcase our solutions for Media and Broadcasters,” says Kirby Wadsworth, chief marketing officer at Limelight Networks. “Consistent delivery of excellent viewer experience, and engaging closely with viewers, are top priorities for content publishers and brands. Our Media and Broadcast solutions cover every step in achieving these goals.”
