On demand: SVG Europe presents its Audio Group 5G Audio Production discussion with BBC R&D, BT Sport and Olympic Broadcast Services [VIDEO]

SVG Europe’s recent Audio Group discussion titled 5G Audio Production, which highlighted the challenges and provided an educational look into this upcoming technology, is now available on demand.

The event, in which BBC Research and Development, BT Sport and Olympic Broadcast Services and more spoke about 5G uses in audio production, workflows, use cases and standards development, was kicked off by BBC R&D senior technology transfer manager, Ian Wagdin, followed by Dr. María-Dolores Pérez Guirao, spectrum policy and standards manager for pro audio portfolio management at Sennheiser.

After setting the scene, Wagdin and Pérez Guirao joined an expert panel discussion chaired by independent industry consultant, Roger Charlesworth with panellists Mario Reis, Olympic Broadcasting Services director of telecommunications, Matt Stagg, BT Sport director of mobile strategy, Tom Sahara, media technologist and advisor, chairman emeritus SVG US, and Jackie Green, Nexonic director.
