Orad Maestro taps into Avid iNEWS

Orad will demonstrate its integrated news graphics solution based on Orad’s Maestro 6 and Avid  iNEWS, iNEWS Command and Media Composer solutions at IBC. The integrated news graphic solution will be demonstrated at stand 7.B27.

With the turnkey news graphics workflow, journalists can access published graphic templates directly from within the iNEWS newsroom computer system.

Users can browse or search templates, enter relevant data for the story, preview it on their workstation –including real time data and animations- and add it to the newsroom’s rundown. Users can also play rundowns created in iNEWS, including the graphic items, via Maestro’s integration to iNEWS Command.

A single operator airs the video and graphics from a single interface in iNEWS Command. Additionally, Maestro graphics can be added to edited clips via the integration to Media Composer ensuring a unified look for both real time, edited and post produced items. MaestroNLE plugin allows visual access to graphic templates created in Maestro’s system; templates can be filled in and the user will see a preview of the graphics in the timeline immediately. Once the graphic has been adjusted, it can be rendered and burned into the video locally in the edit station.

By offering complete integration to Avid’s news editing solutions, Maestro users can rely on their existing workflow, ensure consistency across their platforms, and benefit from powerful 3D real time on-air graphics capabilities, in the context of an efficient news production.
