Panorama produces world feed for World Fencing Championships 2015

The World Fencing Championships 2015 commenced in Moscow Olimpyiski sports arena on July 13 and ended July 19 under the auspices of the Fencing International Federation. Throughout the event, the international TV signal was produced by Panorama’s creative production team.

Panorama engineers and creatives operated a 16 cam-OB vehicle with additional equipment allowing fans to see the contest from the most advantageous angles. A hyper-slow shooting system was based on Vision Research Phantom V642 camera technology, while super-slow shooting cameras were also used together with other special equipment.

The tournament was broadcast live by dozens of TV channels. At the Championships, Panorama also provided DSNG supported satellite communication channels for Schweizerische Radio- und Fernsehgesellschaft and ARD international.

The International Fencing Federation management was enthusiastic about the Panorama team’s input. “We are very glad to have Panorama as our partners in the international TV signal production for the Fencing Championships. We had a chance to see the professionalism of our TV colleagues during the ‘Moscow Sabre’ tournament last May, and we see now that the World Fencing Championships was broadcast at the same high level,” said Stanislav Pozdniakov, the first vice-president of the Russian Fencing Federation.
