Paris 2024: SVG Europe Women welcomes ISB MD Ursula Romero as guest speaker for annual Amsterdam networking event
SVG Europe Women is pleased to welcome International Sports Broadcasting’s (ISB) managing director, Ursula Romero, as the guest speaker at the ‘Paris 2024: Production and diversity’ networking event at IBC.Taking place from 4pm on Saturday 14 September at the SVG Europe Women Networking annual get together – sponsored by Shure – in the First Floor Restaurant of the RAI, Amsterdam, Romero will discuss her work on the Olympics, Paralympics and the push forwards her company has made to ensure diversity within its crews.

At the Olympics a team from ISB produced the modern pentathlon and the shooting for host broadcaster, Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), while Romero worked on a production team for OBS at the Parisian IBC.
Right now, ISB is working across a plethora of Paralympic events. As well as the Opening and also the Closing Ceremonies, it is producing the para athletics, para track cycling, equestrian, para shooting, para archery, wheel chair rugby, and judo.
Additionally, ISB put together teams for the Olympics and Paralympics with strong gender balances, following one of the prerogatives of OBS for more gender equal teams behind the camera.
Romero will discuss these topics with head of SVG Europe Women and SVG Europe editor, Heather McLean, from 4.30pm.
Doors to the event open at 4pm, and the fireside chat will be followed by networking till 6pm when the SVG Europe Women’s networking will segue into general networking for friends of SVG Europe.
