Paris 2024: Vívaro providing live media transport services for leading international broadcasters

Vívaro will be providing live media transport services for international broadcasters in 18 countries during Paris 2024. This marks Vívaro’s fifth consecutive Summer Olympics, where it has delivered state-of-the-art broadcast solutions.

Vívaro Media, the company’s video transport division, is set to facilitate extensive live video transmissions through its dedicated fibre network, and Vívaro Video, the production arm of Vívaro, will provide production resources and local support. Together, these divisions will support top broadcasters in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and host country France, for extensive coverage to over 660 million viewers.

“We are honoured to be selected once more by leading broadcasters for the coverage of this prestigious event,” said Daniel Gonzalez, CEO of Vívaro Media. “Our work this year is not just about delivering live video content; it’s about enabling our customers to transform the way the world experiences the Olympics. Every frame and feed we transmit is a testament to our commitment to excellence and our passion for connecting audiences to the excitement of these games.”

Vívaro will provide critical connectivity and transport solutions, which extend from the International Broadcasting Center (IBC) and studios located in Paris and back to production facilities in their respective countries, providing end-to-end support that includes on-site engineering staff. The company will also provide mobile production resources complemented with on-site technical support.

Vívaro Media will encode and transport over 170 live video feeds in multiple high-definition formats, provide remote selection of feeds from the IP-VandA Package, and optimise equipment and bandwidth required for broadcasters’ remote productions. Notably, Vívaro Media will deploy a customer’s first ever services delivered in ST 2110. With reliability as a top priority, all services are transported over carefully selected diverse fibre routes for seamless delivery, totalling more than 20Gbps of bandwidth.

Gustavo Mario De La Garza Flores, CEO of Vívaro Group, stated: “Every day Vívaro channels its passion and innovation into attracting new clients and seizing exciting opportunities. Participating – for its fifth consecutive edition – in the Olympic Games makes us very proud. Vívaro’s commitment to excellence is unwavering, and we take immense pride in our skilled team, which will be fully dedicated to delivering seamless video transmission for audiences in 18 countries during the 17 days of the event.

“This effort showcases Vívaro’s cutting-edge solutions, utilising our robust, low-latency fibre network and production prowess to ensure millions of viewers don’t miss a moment of the action. The Vívaro Group delivers telecommunications, IT, cybersecurity, video gaming and digital transformation services.”

Vívaro Video general manager, Rodrigo Peralta said: “Our extensive mobile transmission resources, combined with partnerships with local network operators in Paris, ensure we deliver and comply with the needs of all our customers.”
