Pixotope, a software company focused on enhancing visual storytelling through real-time graphics and virtual production technology, has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.
Seen across the World Cup, Pixotope gives broadcasters the XR, AR and virtual set tools to power their biggest creative ambitions, offering an end-to-end toolset that puts users in full control, with reliability and performance built in as standard.
Those users include the BBC, who put Pixotope at the heart of a brand-new XR studio built for the World Cup that will also be used regularly for BBC Sport programmes. At NRK in Oslo, Pixotope handled the camera tracking and renders AR to air across all 51 of its free-to-air World Cup matches, in a studio remodelled from their Winter Olympics build. Further afield, at CCTV in China, Pixotope VS/AR ran alongside Talent Tracking on two cameras, powering every studio show throughout the tournament.
“We renewed because this is where our customers gather, share, and push the craft of live sport forward,” said Simon Davis, chief experience officer, Pixotope. “SVG Europe’s community and ours are one and the same, and we’re proud to keep showing up for the people at the heart of it.”
