RaceTech joins SVG Europe as Gold Sponsor
RaceTech, the dedicated technical facilities provider for horseracing in the UK, is now a Gold Sponsor at SVG Europe.
For over 70 years, RaceTech has been at the forefront of global broadcast technology. The company originated as the Race Finish Recording Company, and its portfolio includes the pioneering development of horseracing’s first photo finish system and the introduction of full HD broadcast and state-of-the-art racecourse AV installations.
John Bozza, who joined RaceTech as CEO at the end of 2016, told SVG Europe: “RaceTech is delighted to have recently joined up with SVG Europe as sponsor. SVG Europe has a long and distinguished history in bringing together people from across the sports broadcasting industry to collaborate and share ideas and experience. Having been a member whilst working for previous employers I am keen to bring RaceTech into the fold for the mutual benefit of our organisation and industry peers alike.”
RaceTech is due to expand its OB facilities provision in 2019 having recently won a new contract with Arena Racing Company (ARC) to cover an additional 22 ARC-aligned racecourses.
As the UK’s preferred OB technical service provider, RaceTech covers 38 racecourses which amounts to around 850 race fixtures per year. Its services include OB for both satellite and terrestrial broadcasters, international feeds, fully produced racecourse TV and live streams are delivered alongside, as well as the simultaneous feed for integrity purposes. The company continues to develop and innovate with new camera and broadcast solutions working with horse racing’s stakeholders.
