Record audiences tune into the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Sky Sports

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 was the most watched iteration of the tournament on record with 15 million viewer hours on Sky Sports (since 2016 when data became available).

The final between England and Australia was also record-breaking with a peak audience of 678,000, the highest ever for an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Sky. Interest further piqued across digital channels with the live blog for the final on skysports.com delivering over 250,000 views.

Fans showed their support for England across the tournament with the host nation’s matches averaging an audience of 381,000, representing a 69% increase from the 2024 event.

As part of Sky’s commitment to making the tournament available to the biggest possible audience, select games were shown free-to-air and on the Sky Sports app. This included the opening game between England and Sri Lanka, which drew a peak audience of 510,000 on Sky Sports and was also streamed on YouTube with nearly 75,000 people watching

The tournament leads into a standout summer of women’s cricket on Sky, including The Hundred’s return later in the month and the Vitality Blast Women’s Finals Day.
