Riedel, a leading provider of live production tools in the worlds of media, sports and entertainment, has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.
The company offers a range of hardware and software solutions spanning everything from distributed video and audio networks over intercom and replay solutions to WAN and MPLS applications, across three business units – the Product Division, Managed Technology Division and Networks Division.
The past 12 months have seen growing use of Riedel’s RefCam across sports. The compact head-mounted camera captures game situations from the referee’s point of view and is designed for both live broadcast applications and recording-only scenarios. It made its debut in Germany’s 2. Basketball-Bundesliga and at the EHF Euro 2026 earlier this year.
In addition, IMG recently turned to Riedel’s SimplyLive Production Suite to power its delivery of the EFL – one of the most ambitious remote production operations in European football.
The remote production setup brings in six camera feeds from Championship venues, four from League One, and two from League Two – representing an increase of more than 60% in camera inputs compared to prior seasons. All feeds are ingested into IMG’s centralised SimplyLive environment, where operators manage live switching, instant replays, post-match highlights, compliance deliverables, and social content across multiple platforms.
