The ‘Satellite, Space and Technology Days powered by TURKSAT’ teleconference will be captured in 4K UHD and broadcast live on the TRT 4K service.

The ‘Satellite, Space and Technology Days powered by TURKSAT’ teleconference will be held at the Istanbul Halic Congress Centre on 11-12 December, in conjunction with the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association. The summit will be captured in 4K UHD and broadcast live on the TRT 4K service.

Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is set to participate in the event, alongside other senior parliamentarians such as Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication Binali Yıldırım and Minister of Technology and Industry Fikri Işık. Topics to be covered include the creation of a national satellite ecosystem, local participation in forthcoming 4.5 and 5G communications networks, and more.

The summit will also provide an opportunity for TURKSAT and Turkish Broadcast Technology to showcase their latest developments in 4K broadcast technology. Accordingly, the event will constitute the first broadcast via the new TURKSAT 4B satellite that was launched at the end of October and is still undergoing testing.

Halic Congress Centre will be the primary location involved in the broadcasts, although there will also be four other ‘connection points’: the currently under construction Third Bosphorus Bridge; the Istanbul New Airport (otherwise known as the Third Airport); the Gulf Passage Bridge; and the TAI Satellite Test Centre.

The first 4K teleconference broadcast will be achieved via the TURKSAT 4B satellite, which is one of the most important important projects undertaken in recent times by the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication. Mediapro Turkey and ACTAMEDYA will provide the co-ordination and broadcast infrastructure for the 4K broadcast.
