SIS LIVE to chair sports production panel at Media Production Show

There will be plenty of interest for sports production professionals at the 2017 edition of the Media Production Show. Taking place at Olympia, London, on 13-14 June, MPS 2017 will showcase a wide range of talent and technology drawn from across the creative industries.

Sports production features prominently on this year’s conference programme and includes a panel entitled, ‘Sports: Live Production’, on 13 June at 12:00. Chaired by SIS LIVE’s commercial director, Phil Govan, the session will feature input from Ross Clarke (IMG Sports) and Sunil Patel (Whisper Films). All three will discuss their involvement in the production and distribution of live sports projects to outlets around the globe.

Other sports-related content at the show will include a discussion from Andy Beale (BT Sport) about the Champions League Final 2017. A number of innovations are set to benefit viewers of this year’s event, including coverage in 360° virtual reality – with a number of streams available on YouTube and the new BT Sport Virtual Reality App – and screening in 4K UHD on YouTube.

There will also be a case study about the live capture and transmission of Formula E car racing events around the world, scheduled to take place on 14 June at 2pm.
