SIS LIVE’s Andrew S Jones added to SportTech line-up

The business development director of the leading European OB and satellite uplink provider will contribute to a scene-setting panel session entitled ‘The State of the Industry and a Summer of Sport’ at SportTech UK 2013, which will take place at Stamford Bridge Stadium in London on 24 April.

Jones joined the television industry in the early 1980s having worked in the theatre and film industry. He was studio manager at Carlton Television in St Johns Wood, later joining Carlton Broadcast Facilities as outside broadcast co-ordinator. On the merger of Carlton Broadcast Facilities with O21 Television, creating Carlton O21, he became a unit manager. Subsequently, Jones continued as a unit manager with a brief to gain more Light Entertainment, Current Affairs and Long Form Music shows.

Jones has been associated with many high profile productions including Top Gear, Question Time and Royal Variety Performances. He was appointed business development director in 2006 and continues this role at SIS LIVE.
