Sky Deutschland records match in 4K Ultra HD

On Saturday December 1, Sky Deutschland captured the Bundesliga match between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in 4K Ultra HD.

The decision to record the fixture in this format, said the broadcaster, underlined its status as a force for innovation in broadcasting across Germany and Austria.

Quoted on the Sky Media Network website, Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Germany, remarked that “Ultra HD is incredibly exciting for us and even more exciting for our customers. At Sky innovation represents one of the pillars of the company, which [has been] instrumental to our HD leadership in Germany and Austria in recent years. […] The test this Saturday is only the first of many more steps.”
