Sky Sport Summit 2021: UEFA and DFL speakers to feature during 27 September event in Munich

Alessandro Reitano opens proceedings at last year’s Sky Sport Summit in Munich

UEFA’s Maurice Tollenaar and both Marcus Beisiegel and Andreas Heyden from the German Football League (Deutsche Fußball Liga – DFL) will be among the speakers when the Sky Sport Summit 2021, in cooperation with SVG Europe, takes place on Monday 27 September in Munich.

The invitation-only in-person event, sponsored by Panasonic, will see Tollenaar, who is chief of media rights and production services for UEFA, take part in the closing keynote, reviewing the broadcast production of Euro 2020.

While Heyden, the CEO of DFL Digital Sports and EVP of digital innovation for the DFL Group, will take part in a panel on ‘Transformation in Broadcast’ that also features Riedel Communications founder Thomas Riedel and Christian Massmann, the managing director of Qvest Media.

DFL head of audiovisual rights Beisiegel will appear alongside Sportec Solutions managing director Hendrik Weber discussing and showcasing ‘Bundesliga Match Facts and the Sky Tactical Feed’.

The sessions form part of the packed all-day conference that takes place at the Dolby Cinema inside the Mathäser Palast in Munich.

Hosted by Alessandro Reitano, the chair of SVG Europe’s advisory board, and Sky Germany’s SVP of sports production, the summit also features contributions from Dolby, FC Cologne and a number of SVG sponsors, plus networking opportunities. All sessions will be in German.

Reitano said of the event: “I am very pleased that the Sky Sport Summit, in cooperation with SVG Europe, can take place again this year as an in-person event. Especially after this long period of uncertainty as to whether and how in-person events can take place. Events such as these are incredibly important for networking and for the exchange of ideas.”
