Emma Penny, A1 sound supervisor at Sky Sports

In a last minute addition to an already fantastic line up, Sky Sports’ Emma Penny, A1 sound supervisor, is joining the Audio Insider Perspectives panel at SVG Europe’s Sound Talks – Mixing Broadcast Sound.

Penny has worked in live TV audio for over a decade as both an A1 and A2 for a number of major broadcasters in the UK and overseas in a career spanning news broadcast, light entertainment and live sports coverage. At Sky she is one of the lead audio supervisors on the broadcaster’s football and Formula 1 coverage.

Taking place at 4pm (UK summer time) on Wednesday 7 April, Sound Talks – Mixing Broadcast Sound, supported by Title sponsor Telos Alliance and Registration sponsor TSL Products, will focus on the emerging technologies, standards and techniques that all mixers, operators and engineers are grappling with now, or will need to engage with soon.

Penny is joining session chair Alex Judd, Sky Sports technical specialist, discussing today’s workflows for live football with Pete Mercer, A1 sound supervisor and audio guarantee, Ian Rosam, A1 broadcast sound engineer, Alessandro Sdrigotti, A1 broadcast sound engineer, and Neville Hooper, NEP UK deputy head of sound.
