Sky Sports agrees deal to show IPL 2023

Sky Sports has agreed a deal to show the 2023 Indian Premier League. Customers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch all 74 matches, beginning on Friday 31 March, as Hardik Pandya’s 2022 champions Gujarat Titans take on a Chennai Super Kings side who have added Ben Stokes to their ranks.

The IPL sees some of the best limited overs players in the world, including the England trio of Test captain Ben Stokes, breakout star Harry Brook and Sam Curran – who last year became the most expensive player in IPL history following a £1.85 million deal with Punjab Kings.

Bryan Henderson, director of cricket & NFL, Sky Sports, said: “The IPL sees the best players from across the world face off in front of a fanatical local audience in search of glory – resulting in some of the most explosive cricket around.

“We’re excited to add even more live action to a busy cricketing summer that features both men’s and women’s Ashes series, The Vitality Blast and The Hundred, as well as a number of international series for both England’s men’s and women’s teams.”
