Sony schedules War Horse 4K webinar for 29 April

Sony is inviting SVG/E readers to view a far-reaching webinar next Tuesday (29 April) regarding its recent groundbreaking 4K capture of the National Theatre’s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s acclaimed novel War Horse.

As reported last month on SVG Europe, Sony, NEP Visions and Links Broadcast recently collaborated with National Theatre Live on a 4K six-camera shoot at the New London Theatre in Drury Lane. Some 36MHz of satellite capacity was used to feed synced quadrants to a Sony RF515P projector at the Curzon Cinema in Chelsea, while 750,000 people sitting in 1,000 cinemas in 30 countries saw an HD version.
