Sound Talks – Mixing Broadcast Sound on demand [VIDEO]

SVG Europe’s Sound Talks is a series of in-depth, educational, and enlightening online events that are taking the lid off specific areas of audio within sports broadcasting in order to discover the technologies, challenges and practical use cases that are leading the way.

The first episode, ‘Mixing Broadcast Sound’, focused on emerging technologies, standards, and techniques that all mixers, operators, and engineers are grappling with now, or will need to engage with soon.

Important topics such as remote and virtualised control, mix and production automation, object-based mixing and formats, and networked systems were discussed. Vendor and operator focused panels explored these and other issues, and we heard from A1 mixers on specific projects and events.
