Spanish football action continues for LaLiga fans in UK and Ireland

Real Madrid have already claimed their 34th title as 2019-20 champions of LaLiga Santander, but fans have more live Spanish football to look forward to in July and August on LaLigaTV, the 24/7 channel available to UK customers on Sky and Virgin, as well as the Premier Player app.

LaLiga and broadcast partner Premier Sports have confirmed that LaLigaTV will broadcast live and exclusively in the UK and Ireland all six matches of the promotion play-offs from second-tier LaLiga SmartBank.

Starting on Thursday 23 July, with the first leg of both Semi-Finals, the play-off excitement will run into the month of August, with the decisive second leg of the promotion Final taking place on Sunday 2 August.

LaLigaTV’s wall-to-wall coverage of LaLiga SmartBank resumed this week, with a special Multigoal broadcast of all 11 simultaneous fixtures from the final Matchday 42 of Spain’s second division.

Other exclusive content available on LaLigaTV in July and August includes a special Viva LaLiga studio episode analysing the top moments of the 2019/20 LaLiga Santander season, an in-depth interview with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, plus recaps on the winners of the Pichichi (Leo Messi) and Zamora (Thibaut Courtois) individual awards and documentary features on legendary LaLiga players Aritz Aduriz (Athletic Club) and Éver Banega (Sevilla FC) among others. All this, plus full coverage of the lead-up to the 2020/21 LaLiga Santander campaign, which is expected to kick off from 12 September.
