Sport Production Summit Amsterdam set to be largest event ever staged by SVG Europe

Over 330 professionals have already registered for SVG Europe’s upcoming Sport Production Summit at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam on Thursday 14 September. The Summit, along with the Sport Production Awards event sponsored by Canon at the end of the day, is already set fair to become the biggest event ever staged to date by SVG Europe.

The action-packed day kicks off with our new Remote Production Audio Forum in Amsterdam on the morning of 14 September. The one-hour event – which is sponsored by Calrec – will assess the potential of remote production for streamlining audio workflows, reducing costs, and freeing up OB truck and flyaway space. The Remote Production Audio Forum is an invitation-only event and therefore not open for registration.

Coffee and registration for our Sport Production Summit is 12.00-12.30, followed by a networking buffet lunch from 12.30 until 13.30. The Sport Production Summit, with Snell Advanced Media as Title Sponsor, runs until 17.15, with sessions covering Planning for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018; Formula One goes Ultra HD; Delivering OTT Sports Projects at Scale; a One on One between Lise Cosimi-Breant and Muriel de Lathouwer; Panel discussion on Rugby and NFL Production; and a look at the New Production Workflows around the introduction of Video Assistant Referees.

The day will be peppered throughout with Platinum Presentations, a series of short stand-up briefings from our Platinum Sponsors explaining what’s new for their company coming into IBC2017.

We are then excited to introduce at 17.15 our SVG Europe 2017 Sport Production Awards. Four Awards will be presented at the DeLaMar Theatre: three of them – Technical Achievement, Live Event and Digital Achievement – have already been voted for, and the fourth, Outstanding Contribution to the European Sport Production Community, is in the gift of the SVG Europe Advisory Board.
