Sport Production Summit: EURO 2016 Case Study with UEFA TV Head Bernard Ross

On 8 September for SVG Europe’s Sport Production Summit at the NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam, we are delighted to announce an opening session discussing the production achievements across EURO 2016 this summer, in the company of UEFA Head of TV Production Bernard Ross.

The four-year UEFA EURO 2016 journey culminated on July 10 with Portugal’s extra-time victory at the Stade de France, Paris. Across 30 days, 24 teams in ten cities contested 51 matches, with the final also marking the successful conclusion of the most ambitious and comprehensive production of a EURO to date.

130 international broadcast partners and their audiences in over 200 territories were provided with even more tournament content, across all platforms, than ever before – all delivered by UEFA host broadcast and their suppliers via the international broadcast centre at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

With key players involved, SVG Europe looks back to a month of football in France this summer as we explore the achievements, challenges and innovations — and we take a first look forward to UEFA EURO 2020 and the opportunity delivering a host broadcast at a tournament based across 13 cities in Europe presents. So far, confirmed to join SVG Europe moderator Fergal Ringrose at the event is Bernard Ross, Head of UEFA TV Production.
