Sport Production Summit: Eurosport Technology Transformation in the spotlight

SVG Europe is delighted to announce that Eurosport Senior VP technology and operations Gordon Castle will take part in a case study session at the Sport Production Summit on 12 September in the company of Ken Kerschbaumer.

The session ‘Changing the Game: Eurosport in 2020 and Beyond’ will be sponsored by AJA Video Systems. It will address The Eurosport Technology Transformation project, a major investment that will create a unified digital and linear production ecosystem and common content hub to support the growth of the broadcaster’s linear channels and digital properties.

Using IT and cloud-based approaches, Eurosport is building what it calls ‘Private Clouds for Live Production’.

At Sport Production Summit 2019 in Amsterdam, learn how this technology and operational platform will provide the ability to support remote production and more efficient content localisation as Eurosport shares an overview of the project, outlines some of the key challenges using full IP/2110, and discusses some of the key industry development needed to enable greater flexibility and scalability.

This high-profile session will be moderated by Sports Video Group’s editorial services director Ken Kerschbaumer.

Returning to Amsterdam’s DeLaMar Theater for a third consecutive year, Sport Production Summit is the flagship event in the SVG Europe calendar. Last year’s conference attracted almost 500 delegates.

The 2019 conference will explore current and future sports production and broadcasting trends, covering a range of subjects from virtualised production and eSports to optimising a production budget and achieving greater workforce diversity.
