SPORTEL Monaco next week; SVG co-organised panels to address rights issues, TV Anywhere

Sports broadcast professionals are once again gearing up for the world sports content media convention, SPORTEL Monaco, which takes place from 14-17 October. Among a characteristically packed and diverse programme are two panels organised in collaboration with Sports Video Group and designed to provide valuable insight into modern day production and distribution technology.

In ‘Federation & Agency Perspectives on Rights in the Digital Age’, scheduled for 15:00-16:00 on 15 October, federations and agencies will discuss how they can get the most out of production tools, the future of low-cost productions, and whether low-cost tools will always be the solution even as future revenues climb.

Speakers will include: Johan Hedblom, director media solutions, IEC in Sports; Dejah Meldem, director digital media – marketing & content, Infront; Mitchell Mortaza, president business affairs, LFL; and Alex Rice, director of business development, PERFORM Group.

The second SVG co-organised panel, ‘Understanding the TV Anywhere Market’, is scheduled for 17:00-18:00 on the same day. Attendees of this session will learn more about the TV Anywhere sports fan, how best to reach them, and most importantly, stay ahead of their requirements.

Once again, a distinguished list of speakers will mull over the subject, including: Salvatore Cuccu, head of digital media, Infront; Luc Doneux, EVP sports division, EVS; Aaron Earls, co-founder & COO, Sports195; Sameer Pabari, head of production & digital, MP & Silva; Patrick Walker, chief content officer, Base79; and Laurant Weill, founder & executive chairman, Visiware.
