SPORTEL Monaco set for return on 5-7 October with esports masterclass in the mix

After a 12-month hiatus, SPORTEL Monaco will be back from 5 to 7 October, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. It will be the first 2021 international convention 100 per cent live and in-person to reconnect and reunite the international sports media and technology industry. SPORTEL says is time to rebuild and reshape the industry for the future.

Alongside many new actors in the industry, SPORTEL will welcome many long-standing exhibitors and visitors such as LaLiga, Matchroom, Eurosport, Feedconstruct, Eurovision and ITF. Other regular exhibitors including Cleeng and Phenix, chose to make SPORTEL their priority event on the calendar. To learn more and register for this year’s event click here.

This year’s market promises to be more European. However, some of the world’s leading brands from the Americas are confirmed to attend in person, including Endeavor, DirectTV Latin America, ESPN, Fox Sports, Major League Baseball, and more.

Another upside for this years’ event is the participation of more than 50 new companies, who have never attended a SPORTEL before such as Sportall, Sportaway, Toch AI, Quidich Innovation, Triton Poker Series, Freeway & Dreamwall to name a few.

For several years now, the trend towards the development and adoption of new technology is ongoing. New video solutions, optimisation of content monetisation, as well as esports are all sectors well represented throughout the market.

Indeed, esports were catapulted to the forefront during the live sports hiatus. This industry is growing at a very fast pace and is a very promising and expanding sector for the SPORTEL community. For this reason, dedicated masterclasses will bring esports and traditional sports industry players together to explore synergies and opportunities.

A further series of engaging and diverse conference and masterclass sessions will provide tailored content to complement business meetings. All sessions will be held in the new open space area, Speakers Corner: www.sportelmonaco.com/programme

In parallel, SPORTEL Awards will also be held at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco from 3-5 October. This event will once again be the opportunity for sports fans to experience unique moments: public events with elite sporting champions and above all, on Tuesday 5 October, the SPORTEL Awards Ceremony will reward the most outstanding sports footage of the year.

SPORTEL says the programme for the show is gradually being revealed. Following the success of the first edition, SPORTEL Awards will welcome the 2021 League of Legends French Championship Final, on 4 October at the Grimaldi Forum.

In addition, Kevin Rolland, Former Freestyle Skier also known as “the Flying French Man,” will present his new highly anticipated documentary “Resilience” during a premiere screening and Q&A session on Monday 4 October at the Grimaldi Forum.

Without changing its DNA, the two SPORTEL events have naturally adapted to the pandemic, especially with extensive sanitary measures in place. Thanks to the actions taken by the Monegasque Government and the hosting venue, the entire SPORTEL team is working every day with the perspective of carrying out the organisation of both events in all safety.
