Sports Audio Summit 2024: Dorna Sports’ Sergi Sendra joins speaker line up to discuss how MotoGP is excelling in audio

Capturing the spectacle – and the noise – of the race is a challenge that Dorna Sports contends with every season

Sergi Sendra, head of global technology for MotoGP at Dorna Sports, is joining SVG Europe Audio at the Sports Audio Summit, sponsored by Audio-Technica, to talk about how the racing series is continuing to excel in sound.

Taking place on 21 November in London’s Kings Cross, Sendra is set to discuss MotoGP’s rich history in audio, the challenges it faces, and how it is moving forwards.

He will be arriving at the event hot off the heels of the MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix 2024, which will take place from 15 to 17 November 2024, marking the Final for the MotoGP season.

Dorna Sports has a long history of working with Audio-Technica, as well as bringing its own technical innovations to the fore, to capture the sound of the MotoGP bikes that race around tracks at over 350 kilometres an hour.

The roar of those bikes is anything but simple to capture, with a high level of audio contamination that makes focussing on a single subject detail difficult. At the Sports Audio Summit 2024, Sendra will discuss exactly how Dorna works to bring the excitement of the sound of its global race locations to viewers at home.
