Sports Graphics Spotlight: Learn about the evolution of motion, augmented and live graphics in televised cycling

Next month’s Sports Graphics Spotlight online event (5 March) will feature an in-depth session on the evolution of motion, augmented and live graphics in televised cycling.

Focussing on data and graphics work completed for the Tour de France and Tour de Romandie, among other races, the virtual presentation will be led by Euro Media Group chief digital officer Matthieu Skrzypniak and will cover how live 2D, 3D and augmented reality graphics can help broadcasters to tell the story of a race and allow viewers to both follow the action and gain a better understanding and appreciation of this most demanding of sports.

Sponsored by Vizrt, Sports Graphics Spotlight will bring together some of the brightest creative and technical minds in the industry, shining a light on the latest developments and showcasing the best in 2D, 3D and augmented reality, across on-screen and studio graphics.

Other highlights include a session on Sky Sports’ work on the Masters golf with Sky Sports director of golf Jason Wessely, a Masterclass session on how graphical data and statistics can be used effectively and appropriately for analysis and storytelling within televised sport, and a Thought Leader Perspectives panel.

Further case studies and speakers will be announced in the coming days.
