Scheduled to take place at Thomas More university college in Turnhout, Belgium, on March 16, the Sports Innovation Conference will take account of changes in a multi-billion industry whose size and scope continues to expand at a dramatic rate.
Exciting developments like wearable technology, mobile fitness, quantified self-movement and big data are opening up a range of new possibilities and innovations in a very short time span. Accordingly, modern sport businesses require innovative and effective management practices to meet the changing expectations of a fast-moving society.
The Sports Innovation Conference will address these issues from a variety of viewpoints and will include two workshops, focused on sports start-ups, as well as parallel sessions featuring international specialists from Microsoft, yhe Danish Institute for Sports Studies, European Platform for Sports Innovation / EPSI, SICS Swedish ICT, Mobilab, SAP and JOHAN.
The event will also host an exhibition where several established companies as well as promising start-ups will show their innovative products and services.
The Sports Innovation Conference is mainly geared towards owners, operators and investors in sports infrastructure, marketing/business development/brand managers, sports federations, clubs, city councils, municipalities, regional agencies and trainers/coaches – but open and of interest to anyone who recognises the inherent potential of continuing sports innovation.
