In what was originally a live online Q&A, Anna Chanduvi, Sports Media Partnerships at Facebook, takes a look at how sports broadcasters and leagues and federations can use, and work with, Facebook both during the lockdown and beyond.

The session covers best practice, use cases, Facebook as the ‘free-to-air funnel’ and niche sports as well as monetisation options across branded content and merchandise.

Taking in questions from the audience, it concludes with an outline of the social media giants’ sports priorities for the future, including the potential of Facebook Watch and Facebook Messenger Room, and a short discussion about how the coronavirus pandemic might affect women’s sport on TV.
