Sports Production Innovation Summit: GRUP MEDIAPRO, ISB and Green Producers Club to speak in Barcelona
The first speakers have been announced for Sports Production Innovation Summit, a full-day event exploring cutting-edge advancements in sports production taking place at GRUP MEDIAPRO, Barcelona on Thursday 12 June.
An opening panel exploring the state of the European sports production industry will see Emili Planas, CTO, GRUP MEDIAPRO, joined by industry leaders to examine the current landscape of sports production across Europe. They will delve into key challenges and emerging opportunities in the market, providing insights into the trends shaping the future of sports production with a focus on the tools and technologies being used.
In addition, Ursula Romero, ISB managingdDirector, will lead a session exploring ISB’s creative and technical approach to producing the 12th edition of The World Games, taking place in Chengdu in August.
Romero will also take part in a session on sustainability in sports production, where she will be joined by Mads Astrup Rønning, Green Producers Club founder & head of international operations, and Steve Knee, Cloudbass managing director. The trio will discuss the practical strategies for reducing carbon emissions in sports broadcasting, focusing on crew travel, power use, and remote production.
Sessions will be in English or Spanish with real-time translation. More speakers will be announced soon.
