Avid has released a 30-minute video of the high profile Sports Production Panel session held at the Avid Connect event at NAB2017. SVG Senior Editor Brandon Costa moderated a Sports Production Panel session comprising Andy Beale, Chief Engineer at BT Sport; Ofir Benofici, Avid Senior Director Broadcast Products; Darryl Jefferson, Vice President of Operations for NBC Sports; and Noah Gusdorff, founder and CEO of tapeless workflow integration specialist Creative Mobile Solutions.

It proved to be a wide-ranging discussion around production innovation, some of the key topics raised were Dolby Atmos, 4K replays, how the panel currently views VR, the exciting potential of HDR — and the fact that in sports production nothing ever stays the same.
