Sports streaming platform LAOLA1.tv launches revamped website

Major European sports streaming platform LAOLA1.tv has launched a completely restructured offering. Following a beta phase over the past 30 days, the new website can be accessed as of now at www.laola1.tv. Key elements of the new offering include a new design, innovative player features, improved quality of video distribution, and new functions to enhance user individualisation.

The highlight of its new internet presence is the new video player, which has been entirely reworked. Thanks to the so-called ‘Picture-in-Picture’ function, users can conduct their own live conference, while at the same time watching four different live streams on one video player. In the course of developing the player, the streaming quality has also been further optimised. LAOLA1’s Premium Users also have an added possibility to choose among several live streaming alternatives and ensure the best possible distribution quality at their particular location.

The personalised ‘My Feed’ facility follows the ‘build your own website’ principle. Users can put together their own page by adding the leagues and/or teams they wish to follow to their ‘My Feed’. Under ‘My Feed’, there is also a possibility to compile a personal video watch list. Videos gathered on this individual playlist can easily be accessed at a later stage (e.g. at home in the evening via the LAOLA1.tv SmartTV app).

Moreover, exploratory navigation is also offered via ‘What’s Hot’. Here users can find content recommended by the editorial team, the most-viewed videos, the latest social media postings from the world of sport, polls, news and much more, all compactly bundled.

In addition, the mobile version of the website has also been adapted for use on mobile appliances. The new pages are responsive and therefore optimally displayed on all devices. The native apps (iOS and Android) have also been completely redesigned. In the case of mobile apps, users have the option of receiving push notifications when live streaming of their favourite team begins or a new video of a preferred league becomes available. As of now, these new apps can be downloaded from the relevant app stores.
